Write a script that embraces your biggest dream. Then produce that script in your every day actions.
Life is like having our own reality TV show. As the producer, director and leading actor or actress in each day's episode, you and I determine the content and quality of our shows. They can have any format we want: sports event, situation comedy, soap opera, talk show, musical, police story, news broadcast, or the evening business report. We survey the world that surrounds us and find materials to broadcast each day. We observe that the most highly rated shows have producers who focus on success and are passionate about the materials that they broadcast. Our shows will be about subjects we love too. They will be about our dreams, unique among all the TV programs that have ever appeared in prime time.
We can plan future episodes, or let them occur spontaneously. We can write the script our way, or let someone else write it their way. We can do reruns and show the same episodes over and over again, or write a new script every day. But each episode, each new day, starts where the previous one ended. Our shows will be on the air for our entire lives even if nobody watches.
Our shows are broadcast live, so they include frequent ad-libs. We can change the format or subject of the show any time we want to. Drop-in guests appear every day and often surprise us with what they do. During some shows, hilarious, sad or disappointing events happen that were not in the script that we wrote. Everyone we meet is on the Neilsson panel that rates our show. They may give us an award for the best directed, most successful, most imaginative, most exciting, most enjoyable, or most useful show. They may give us no award at all. But their awards do not make much difference because inside we know if the show is really our dream. We give our show our best because we want it to still be a top hit even when we are no longer here to produce new episodes. |
